Description: The included files provide the means to discretize the Poisson equation over the unity square for arbitrary functions f on the right side of the equation. The applied Dirichlet boundary conditions can be specified through another arbitrary function.

The files make use of linear finite elements and a quadrature formula using the edge mid points of the triangles, which is exact for polynomes of order 2.

It is possible to specify the number of grid points for the x- and y- axis separately. Therefore, it is possible to solve equations with anisotropic functions more efficiently.

Note: the Files have been developed for teaching purposes only and have not been optimized for performance.
